If you have been hyped up about the upcoming sandbox MMO Black Desert Online nearing its release, you might be even more excited knowing that you can download the character creator and check it out – before the game even launches.
You can check it out here:
You can take screenshots of the characters you created, as well as save them. I’m going to guess that saving them will make it so that you can have quick access to an already created character design at launch, which is awesome. More games should definitely do this.
Although I’m still disappointed in the gender-locked classes (due to lore), I’m quite impressed with the character creator. You can edit pretty much…well… everything. While there doesn’t seem to be too much selection in the makeup and tattoo department, there are many options for the face and body shape and color that a lot of other games can’t quite compete with.
I highly encourage anyone who is interested in Black Desert Online to check the character creator out!
Our tank disconnected in the middle of a dungeon.
Instead of getting annoyed, we decided to dance!
Sometimes when a player goes AFK or Disconnects in a dungeon, people get frustrated and can act harshly. Then, there are experiences completely opposite of that. The time can sometimes be used to create bonds with the other members of your party, while patiently waiting for the missing member to return.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day to everyone! Get drunk, play games.
Oh, wait… I do that all the time!
Until next time,
I love playing first person shooters and fast-paced games, but the creative side of me always brings me back to Minecraft. I love making cool hang out places, and playing survival with friends, but I realized there was one thing I’ve wanted to do ever since I saw it on Youtube…. make an amusement park!
I also realized… I have barely any experience with redstone, pistons, etc…. I’m going to do some homework and learn to make fun things. So, here is my first coaster, and the first addition to my future-themed amusement park.
Until next time,
Well, it’s my first post of the year, and a new year means shiny new stuff! And, by shiny new stuff, I mean shiny new games! I’ve decided to make this post an awesome list of some new games that us at Slash Frag N’ Teabag are really looking forward to!
GTA 5 – PC Version
The long-awaited PC version of GTA 5 is finally going to be released on the 27th of this month, along with some PC specific features!
Tom Clancy’s The Division
The Division is one game we have had our eye on since mention of its upcoming release. This game looks amazing, and it has a lot of interesting features that we haven’t really seen used before. There is no solid release date, but we do know that it is supposed to come out in 2015.
We have been watching the progress of this game, and it’s definitely something to look forward to. If you like zombies and you like true survival games, you definitely want to check this one out. H1Z1 is going to be on Steam early access on the 15th of this month.
Battlecry is a new team action game from Bethesda that looks like a lot of fun. It is rumored that the game may be released on the 31st of this month.
Albion Online is a medieval sandbox MMO that looks really interesting. The game is scheduled to be released sometime in 2015.
Camelot Unchained is a tri-realm MMO with a high focus on PvP between those realms.
There are a lot of other games that are coming out this year – we probably couldn’t even cram them into this post without ruining your scroll wheel. Don’t cry too hard if a game you’re really looking forward to didn’t make it on this list… This is just a staff-picked list of games we have been watching and waiting for. If you have an awesome game that is coming out this year, feel free to comment about it in the comment section. (:
Until next time…
Subnautica has finally been released, and boy do we have something to look forward to. Check out their newest trailer!
I’ve been playing the game, and I must admit, the game is extraordinarily beautiful. The world feels alive with fish and plant life, and there is a huge world out there that hasn’t even been explored yet. The game is still lacking some items which will allow you to explore beyond certain depths, so the dark beyond will stay a mystery until that is updated. Still, the area you can explore is already really interesting. You start out in an escape pod near your crashed ship, in a more shallow area of the world.
Subnautica really gives you that feeling of being underwater in a living world. The first time you jump off your pod into the water, you are immediately swarmed with small schools of fish, and even the plants have a mind of their own. It’s like a futuristic set of The Little Mermaid on an alien planet. Some of the fish are really cute. So cute, that you might wish that they weren’t a part of the hunger system. While other fish are a little bit on the scary side. Some of the sounds they make are frightening on their own. I’ve heard the sounds of something really large in the deeper parts of the ocean.
The game is definitely a survival game when played on the normal mode. You have to collect food, and filter water, as well as make sure you have enough oxygen for your travels. There are still a lot of features to be added to the game, and they will only make the game more awesome. Currently the games biggest downfall is the lack of a save feature, but that is supposed to be implemented very soon. It’s still very enjoyable to swim around and explore. You can craft items that make you swim faster, and you can craft tools such as a knife or beacon. You can even terraform! The game allows you to dig, which hints that maybe there will be some sort of building mechanic in the future. If you love the feeling of being underwater, this game perfectly recreates that feeling. Sometimes I even find myself holding my breath until I remember that it’s just my character that needs to be doing that. If you think the world is pretty during the daytime, just wait until the sun sets. Everything begins to glow, and the fish seem to be more calm.
I definitely think the game is worth checking out. It has been released on Steam, but you can also purchase it from the website. The game is still early access, and not everything is in place yet. There are still some bugs, and features that need to be added, so make sure you’re okay with all of that before you buy the game.
