Try Out The Revelation Online In-Game Store With No Remorse!

Hello Everyone!

So I’ve been playing some Revelation Online lately, and it’s come quite a long ways since the first closed beta. It’s now in the third closed beta, and preparing for an open beta.

Everyone wants their character to look cool or cute, right? Well, fear not! There was an announcement on the Revelation website that says “You can freely try out anything within the in-game store without remorse as we will wipe the server prior to our Open Beta Launch”.

Topup

What does this mean exactly?

It means that “All top-ups made until February 2nd, 13:00 CET will be entirely refunded to your game account for our Open Beta launch with an additional 15% extra courtesy currency.” Those were the exact words used in the statement. That means you can buy something you want to use until the server gets wiped (after CBT3 ends) and then have the money you spent back in your inventory during the open beta. You could buy something totally different!

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up!

Until next time,

CS:GO Prime Matchmaking – Feelings So Far

Hello everyone!

So, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has this thing called Prime matchmaking now. I didn’t have an actual phone number for awhile, after moving from the USA to Canada, so I didn’t really think much about the upcoming Prime Beta. Not too long ago, I go a new phone service here, and decided to try making one of my accounts Prime.

So what is Prime? Having a Prime account means that you link a valid phone number to your CS:GO account. You can only have one account at Prime status, unless you have multiple phone numbers. Most ISP numbers don’t work, so don’t bother trying. Being Prime also means that one you get banned, you cannot use that phone number for Prime again, meaning that if it was your main number, you’re shit out of luck. This is actually a great thing, because it means once a hacker gets banned, they won’t be coming back. It also means less smurfs, because most people will probably only turn their main account Prime.

Let’s get started with my first impression of Prime Matchmaking. First of all, I was solo-queuing. Solo-queuing has always been a hit-or-miss experience. Sometimes I get trolls who are throwing the game to de_rank, and sometimes I come out of the match with some new friends to play with. I started up the search, and I was actually surprised at the short queue time. This meant people were actually participating in the Prime Beta. As soon as I loaded into the match, I could hear my teammates talking on their microphones. Score! We already had some good communication. All 4 of my other teammates were using their microphones and not being total asshats.

First round, and everyone knows their positions, and has a good idea of what each other are doing. The game stays nearly tied the entirety of the match, and my team stays completely positive. What is this? Am I in another dimension? I begin to question reality. Jokes aside, we won the game because we started wrecking in the second half. I get a couple friend requests, and i accept them, because I thoroughly enjoy the match. I play a couple more matches and win because my teammates aren’t toxic little [insert fowl word here]. There was at least one person on the other team that I believed was using wall-hacks. I got a bit frustrated for a bit. I lost a couple matches after that, but they mostly felt fair.

It wasn’t until today that I realized that Prime Matchmaking wasn’t going to be hacker-free. I wasn’t meant to start that way. There are definitely those few people who don’t give a shit, or don’t realize that their number getting banned means they can’t play Prime Matchmaking anymore. So, you know what it’s my job to do? I need to Overwatch whenever I have time, and make sure that I help in getting those people banned. Because they won’t be coming back, unless they use someone else’ phone number, or get theirs changed. *slightly evil laughter* Hacking has been a serious problem in CS:GO. Anyone would notice that it is.

I’m hoping Prime does it’s job to allow those who don’t hack to have a happy place to play a fair game together.

So far it seems like the people queuing in Prime have better communication, at least that has been my experience. I did have one game where there were trolls who were griefing on the other team. But even griefing can get you perma-banned from Prime, so I will be patient and wait for the majority of these people to clear out, and keep my fingers crossed for good matches until then~

I’ll probably update on my experiences with CS:GO Prime in near future, and I’m definitely interested to hear how it has been for other people!

Until next time,

Black Desert Online: Download The Character Creator

Hello everyone!

If you have been hyped up about the upcoming sandbox MMO Black Desert Online nearing its release, you might be even more excited knowing that you can download the character creator and check it out – before the game even launches.

You can check it out here:

https://www.blackdesertonline.com/events/ccm/

You can take screenshots of the characters you created, as well as save them. I’m going to guess that saving them will make it so that you can have quick access to an already created character design at launch, which is awesome. More games should definitely do this.

Although I’m still disappointed in the gender-locked classes (due to lore), I’m quite impressed with the character creator. You can edit pretty much…well… everything. While there doesn’t seem to be too much selection in the makeup and tattoo department, there are many options for the face and body shape and color that a lot of other games can’t quite compete with.

I highly encourage anyone who is interested in Black Desert Online to check the character creator out!

Video: FFXIV – When Your Tank Disconnects

Our tank disconnected in the middle of a dungeon.

Instead of getting annoyed, we decided to dance!

Sometimes when a player goes AFK or Disconnects in a dungeon, people get frustrated and can act harshly. Then, there are experiences completely opposite of that. The time can sometimes be used to create bonds with the other members of your party, while patiently waiting for the missing member to return.

Video: GTAV – When Stunts Go Wrong #01

This is the first of a series of videos I’m going to be doing for GTAV.

I’ll be putting up actual stunts that I have pulled off, as well as the funny screw-ups that happened while trying to do the stunts.

CS:GO – Adventures As A Silver #01

Hello Everyone!

So, I thought I would start writing about my experiences as a fairly new player in CS:GO. The game is extremely fun, very well made, and also a bit on the frustrating side. When I first started, I hadn’t looked into the elo rating system, and I didn’t really think of it much on the competitive side. I didn’t know much about the game, and was new to the franchise. I started out with casual games, and enjoyed them. That is until I queued for a competitive game for the first time.

My team was amazing. They were doing all of these call-outs that I had yet to learn, and they seemed so organized. Three games in, and I was addicted. After that, I lost a few, but pressed forward. I got my first rank (Silver I) and had a beer to celebrate. Later, I learned that this was just the beginning of my journey. I played many games, winning and losing, trying to figure out how to get better. A friend introduced me to the streamers of CS:GO and I started learning more stuff about the game. I started watching YouTube videos to learn the call-outs and grenade tosses. Pretty soon I was quite educated on the maps.

I soon learned the term smurf, and since then, have realized the effect it has on the competitive part of the game. I had trouble ranking up past silver I. I would get on a winning spree, and then suddenly play a few games where the opposing teams top-fragger had double the kills of the rest of their team. People were yelling “smurf! they’re a smurf!” and I wasn’t sure what to think about them, but I started to get annoyed with these smurfs.

Soon, I played with a clan that I had made friends with, and I ranked up three times in one week. I went from silver I to silver 4 in a heartbeat. We were on a roll, until the game with smurfs. We were still trying to get better at this game, but suddenly we were getting our asses handed to us in what was supposed to be a silver game. I then decided to check the profiles of these over-achievers, and realized there was a pattern. The only game they owned was CS:GO. These people were already good at the game, but they were going back to destroy new silvers.

Maybe it’s a learning experience. Maybe it is a challenge to help me get better at the game, but altogether it is a frustrating experience that makes match-making feel broken. I enjoy a challenge, but I should be able to decide for myself if I want one. Not have it forced on me. The broken match-making (smurfing) has given me the feeling of wanting to quit the game more than once now. My fellow clan-mates feel the same way. Do we queue up and hope to get lucky, that we are not playing a Gold Nova… Master Guardian… someone that found the game on sale for 5$ and made a new account out of curiosity, because they wanted to feel bad-ass, or maybe wanting to play with friends?

I’m not sure if there is any way around this, but here is one thing I have to say… CS:GO has no reason to go on sale… It has a high player-base, and there is no reason for people to own more than one copy of the game. Stop putting your damn game on sale, and give new players a chance. I was silver 4, and down-ranked playing against a smurf team. They just laugh and call me salty, when the only game they own is CS:GO with barely any hours. Yeah, you’re better than me. Maybe I am salty… but because you’re better than me, you shouldn’t be playing against me.

I’m addicted to the game. I want to get as good as the higher ranks, so that smurfs won’t exist to me anymore. It’s going to be a rough ride, but I’ll have to deal with it, because there still aren’t any competitive fps games quite as good as CS:GO.

Until next time,

Adventures: Unturned #01

Hello everyone!

Recently, I have been playing Unturned with a few of my close friends. I played the game a bit when it first came out, but started getting bored quickly. When two of my close friends invited me to join them in giving it a try, I felt like it would be a good idea to see what the game was like with friends.

We entered the world, and realized we were having trouble finding each other. This is quite common for zombie survival games, as I have also had to run around looking for my friends in games such as H1Z1 and Infestation: Survivor stories. We had to make a Steam group, and all be in it, which allowed us to see each others names in-game. After finding each other, we also realized we were naked, so alas our search for clothes. We died a few times at first, but we managed to collect some weapons, food and clothes. After exploring the island a bit, we decided to settle down on a ship that was docked at one of the towns.

I almost feel like we need some “censor” bars here… haha

2015-02-18_00013

We put down some chests, and beds so that we would re-spawn there upon dying. Starting off, we didn’t really know what all we could craft, so we had to turn to the wiki most of the time. In-game, you pretty much would just put random items together and hope to get something. It was a lot like Minecraft in that regard. We managed to craft a campfire, and constructed some walls around our farm. We also secured a few vehicles from the town and nearby farmhouse. After getting a vehicle that the three of us could all ride in, that was when the adventures really started. Some were simply entertaining, while others became outright scary.

2015-02-22_00007

Some of the towns were full of zombies, and going in alone would have been nerve-wracking. We had built up enough guns, and other weapons, so that we could pretty much line them up and destroy them. It was a parade of death. You also have to worry about food, water, and infection from zombies and spoiled food. We spent a lot of time scavenging for food (including hunting cute animals), and medicine. After securing a few canteens, it was easier to stay hydrated. Melee weapons were super affective because they didn’t use up our stored ammo, but the closer you get to the zombies, the more likely you are to get infected. It’s a good thing you don’t actually turn into zombies. I will say my favorite part about killing zombies so far, is the mass amount of blood that spurts out of them. It really just looks like someone spilled red paint everywhere, but it’s actually quite fun to paint the ground and walls with their colorful insides. A little too much fun sometimes. You can also attach your friends, in which you get the same effect. This happened often… haha

2015-03-15_00002

We kept taking road trips, map in hand, and hitting zombies like they were speed-bumps along the way. If we got desperate for food, there was always the berries… Oh yes, the berries. Some of them made you trip like crazy.

2015-02-10_00003

Such lewd stuff in the chat! Yup, those are my friends. 😀

There were also Easter eggs, and stuff that you could find for achievements. We found quite a few of these, as we were exploring every inch of the island. I loved that some of the signs were references to famous Twitch streamers, one of them being Lirik. And then there were the chess boards everywhere.

2015-02-25_00006

This is not Mount Your Friends…

2015-02-18_00005

And here is one of my favorite parts about the game…. base building! I mean, who doesn’t love to build a place to call home within a virtual world? We collected materials, and worked day and night to build our first fully player crafted base. The old ship became extra storage. We kept adding to our base. It started out as a parking garage, and then we built up off of that. Then, I recommended a safe route to the farm, in which the giant overpass was created. We are quite happy with our newly made base. It even has bedrooms with working doors, and a watch tower.

I can definitely say that I enjoyed the gameplay much more when sharing it with my friends. There were a lot of humorous and stressful situations, but I know that I wasn’t experiencing them alone. A simple game, with limited gameplay, turned into a world of adventure.

2015-02-22_00015

Okay… I’m going to have to take your license away.
